Dacă mai aveam vreo speranță că Turul Franței de anul acesta ar putea fi altfel decât cel de anul trecut, ea s-a clătinat serios în etapa a 6-a, câștigată de unul dintre cei pe care îi suspectez de dopaj, Peter Sagan, și a sucombat în etapa următoare, câștigată de Usain Bolt al ciclismului, Chris Froome, pe doi venind Yohan Blake din ciclism, adică Richie Porte (diferența fiind că, la juniori, Blake a fost, totuși, prins dopat, dar atunci nu se știa că va deveni Blake…), colegul de cameră al lui Froome.
În aceste condiții epoca Lance Armstrong devine cea mai corectă și mai morală perioadă din ciclism deoarece toți știau că majoritatea se dopează și concurau, practic în aceleași condiții. Iar fotografia de față este una care vine să dovedească faptul că atunci publicul nu era prostit în față, cum e acum. Despre Armstrong știm că s-a dopat fiindcă a spus el. Pantani a fost suspectat de dopaj, dar nu trebuie să fii docent în sport ca să-ți dai seama că pe cățărarea aceasta de pe Mont Ventoux ambii suferă, chiar dacă la final Lance l-a lăsat pe Pantani să câștige (lucru regretat ulterior, iar presa vremii – în acest caz, The New York Times – consemna următorul schimb de replici în ediția din 18 iulie 2000: „«Pantani does not need Armstrong to give him a victory,» he said, speaking of himself in the third person as he habitually does.
Asked about this at his news conference, Armstrong said, «Elefantino, it’s unfortunate he’s showing his true colors.»
Elefantino, or Dumbo, is a nickname Pantani carried for years because of his big ears. He now prefers to be called Il Pirata, the Pirate.
«I like Marco, and have a lot of respect for him,» Armstrong said. «I felt like it was a gift on the Ventoux and I also feel like it was a mistake to give the gift. On the Ventoux, the strongest man should win. I know that now.
He’s a great rider, a great champion and a great climber, but he wasn’t the best man on the Ventoux. In the last few days, his actions, his words are very disappointing to me. I thought he had more class than that.»”). Ceea ce n-am văzut nici la Froome și Porte în prima etapă din Pirinei, nici la Wiggins și Froome anul trecut. Și noi vorbim despre dopaj la US Postal? Cum zicea și Lance, în comparație cu alții ei erau amatori în dopaj.
Așa că, din acest moment fac și eu ceea ce au decis acum mulți ani să facă televiziunile din Germania: Turul Franței? A! Chestia aia pentru dopați! Nu, mulțumesc, nu servesc, găsiți alți proști să pună botul!
Și dacă mai aveam vreun dubiu că autoritățile franceze (jăndari, curcani și așa-ziși specialiști în antidoping) nu vor să-i prindă pe dopați, ceea ce s-a întâmplat în ultimele două zile mi l-au înlăturat. Unde s-au dus fariseii ăștia să caute dopați? La Mark Cavendish și la chiloții murdari ai celor de la RadioShack?! Bă, voi sunteți citavi la minte ori aveți orbul găinilor?!
Din acest Tur prefer să rămân cu evadările lui Jan Bakelants, Jens Voigt (RadioShack-Leopard-Trek) și Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) și cu victoria lui Cavendish și să mă dau acum jos de bicicletă, înainte de-a mi se face greață de această farsă de prost-gust.
În concluzie, pa și pu la Tur!
