CyclingNews And Tour Tracker Bring You The Grand Tours

CyclingNews, the leading online source of professional cycling coverage, and Tour Tracker, the award-winning multi-platform professional cycling app, are announcing a strategic three-year partnership to cover the three biggest events in the sport – The Grand Tours. Through a perfect combination of world-class commentary, GPS tracking, race photography, and other live cycling data, the CyclingNews Tour Tracker mobile app will bring fans unmatched access to all the action driving the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta d’España.

“CyclingNews is the established leader in online pro cycling coverage,” said Tour Tracker founder Allan Padgett. “By combining their in-depth analysis of the sport with our suite of #1 rated apps and rich data feeds, we can greatly enhance the Grand Tour experience for today’s cycling aficionado at work, on the go, or as a second screen at home.”

Released just in time for the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France, the CyclingNews Tour Tracker will let iPhone, iPad and Android users follow every pedal stroke from the Grand Depart in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica to the thrilling sprint on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Daily live coverage includes commentary from CyclingNews reporters, live GPS tracking of the race, and a social media feed that pulls together the best tweets, photos and videos out there. The apps also include stage previews and daily recaps, photography, daily results, full race standings and rider biographies. Pro cycling enthusiasts will have unparalleled access to the Tour.

“Working with the guys from Tour Tracker has been amazing as they are fanatical about cycling and are as keen as us to build something that always puts the user experience at it’s heart,” says Mark Cantwell, Future Sport’s Digital Product Development Manager. “This is a natural progression from our web offering and the first of many products that we plan to roll out over the next few years.”

The CyclingNews Tour Tracker app is available free starting today from the Apple App Store and Google Play, with links available on TheTourTracker.com or CyclingNews.com.
